This is one of my favorite movies of all times, and I wanted a little of a challenge with my next costume set, so I decided on Anastasia's "Once Upon a December" dress because I had never really made a dress before. A lot of planning when into this costume because I was deathly afraid of not doing the character justice and messing up some pretty expensive fabric--I just barely had enough! Some challenges I faced was needing to make the pattern myself because I could *not* find a circle skirt dress pattern to save my life, and I wanted to 100% finish this costume, including seams all nice and neat. The one thing I really ended up disappointed in was my idea to make the dress sparkly (without using tacky fabric) didn't work out so well, but it still ended up being one of my favorite costumes to wear around a convention and find out who else loves the movie as much as I do. =)
